No data leaves your device. Zen Notes stores all notes exclusively in chrome.storage.local, which is a sandboxed storage area on your own computer. No data is transmitted to any server, third party, or external service.
What we store. The extension saves only what you explicitly type or clip: note titles, note body text, tags, and the URL and page title of the tab you were on when you created the note. This information exists solely on your device.
Website content. If you use the "Clip selection," sticky note, or context menu features, text from the current webpage may be saved as part of a note. This text is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted anywhere.
No analytics, no tracking. Zen Notes contains no analytics libraries, no tracking pixels, no crash reporters, and no remote logging of any kind.
No accounts. Zen Notes requires no sign-in and collects no personally identifiable information such as your name, email address, or IP address.
Data export and deletion. You can export all your notes at any time using the Download All button. You can delete individual notes or all notes directly from the extension. Uninstalling the extension removes all stored data from your device.
Changes to this policy. If this policy changes materially in a future version, we will update the date above and note the change in the extension's version changelog.
